YouTube Adds New Feature to Video Search

If you're a YouTube fan, today you must have noticed the site's new interface in video search options.

New search options include two main sections: 'Filter' and 'Explore'.

'Filter' section includes multiple filters, which you could select more than one at a time. For example, you can search for long format and HD (High Definition) videos that are available in the WebM format.

The 'Explore' section suggests some other search queries relevant to your original query. If you click the query in this section, your original query will be replaced by the chosen query. A more interesting option is to mouse over a query and click the 'plus' icon: this way, you'll refine your original search.

The new features are unveiled by YouTube as a prototype called "YouTube Topics on Search" and it asked users to try it out on TestTube.
