Lady Gaga Official YouTube Channel Suspended

Lady Gaga's official YouTube channel was suspended hours ago. Gaga has two accounts on YouTube. Except the official channel, she also has her VEVO channel, which has 1.6 billion views and is still available. The removed account, "ladygagaofficial", has 149,010,799 views.

People who visited the channel will get this message: " This account has been suspended due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube's Copyright Policy." YouTube declined to elaborate on the account suspension event.

According to a statement from Time Out Tokyo, Gaga's official YouTube account was suspended because "she posted footage from her recent appearance on the Fuji TV show SMAP x SMAP. The ten-minute performance featured a medley of songs from her new album, Born This Way, laced with Japan-themed ad libs". A Japanese firm titled "Media Interactive Inc." sent the copyright-infringement claim to YouTube and was responsible for the account suspension.

According to YouTube's policy, suspended account can be restored after the copyright-infringement content is removed. So I think Gaga's official YouTube account will be restored sson.

Lady Gaga is one of the most popular artists on YouTube. Gaga was the first person reaching 1 billion views milestone on YouTube's history. Having 1.6 billion views, her videos are the second most-viewed videos on YouTube. Artist who has the most-viewed videos on YouTube is Justin Bieber, having totally 1.7 billion views to date.

Sherlock Holmes 2 plot details:

Sherlock Holmes has always been the smartest man in the room... until now. There is a new criminal mastermind at large - Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris) - and not only is he Holmes' intellectual equal, but his capacity for evil, coupled with a complete lack of conscience, may actually give him an advantage over the renowned detective.

When the Crown Prince of Austria is found dead, the evidence, as construed by Inspector Lestrade (Eddie Marsan), points to suicide. But Sherlock Holmes deduces that the prince has been the victim of murder - a murder that is only one piece of a larger and much more portentous puzzle, designed by one Professor Moriarty.

Mixing business with pleasure, Holmes tracks the clues to an underground gentlemen's club, where he and his brother, Mycroft Holmes (Stephen Fry) are toasting Dr. Watson on his last night of bachelorhood. It is there that Holmes encounters Sim (Noomi Rapace), a Gypsy fortune teller, who sees more than she is telling and whose unwitting involvement in the prince's murder makes her the killer's next target. Holmes barely manages to save her life and, in return, she reluctantly agrees to help him.

The investigation becomes even more dangerous as it leads Holmes, Watson and Sim across the continent, from England to France to Germany and finally to Switzerland. But the cunning Moriarty is always one step ahead as he spins a web of death and destruction - all part of a greater plan that, if he succeeds, will change the course of history.

YouTube Invites Users to Test Its New Playlist Player

YouTube is going to update its video player with brand new playlist and is asking users to test this new feature. We might be rather familiar with video playlist player, as we've seen video players with playlists on a lot of video sharing websites. And finally, YouTube is also ready to put on this favorable feature.

Jeff Posnick from YouTube API Team announced the above news on YouTube API Blog on July 14, 2011. Posnick said that they've completely rewritten the embedded player to enable users to embed the player on their web pages with the playlist, which consists of a series of related videos. The rendering is shown in the picture below:

To enable the playlist, you need to add "&version=3" to the end of the URL in the embed code. Here is an example:
http://www.youtube.com/p/E46798C874B35B7F?fs=1&version=3

You might have noticed the red switch button under the control bar. If you try to click on it, the thumbnail playlist will hide; click it again will trigger the player to show the thumbnail player again.

Note that it's under test. When the testing period ends on July 20, the playlist will be automatically added to the player. At that time, you don't need to add "&version=3" string to the embed code to activate the video playlist.

What's your opinion about the playlist player? You can write it down in the comment below.

Transformers 3 Scenes Sample from Michael Bay's Film The Island

Director Michael Bay's Transformers 3 (Transformers: Dark of the Moon) just premiered last week on June 29 in United States. The film has earned $97.5 million during its first weekend, topping the weekend box office and setting a new Fourth of July box-office record.

However, some footage of Transformers 3 are found in Michael Bay's 2005 action film "The Island". YouTube user Cinefilo found this and made a short video comparing the similar scenes of the two films. The video was uploaded to YouTube on June 30 and has quickly become viral on the Internet. This is the video (download it with Leawo Free YouTube Downloader):

It's too obvious that Michael Bay has reused footage from The Island to Transformers 3. From the video, we can see that mainly two scenes of Dark of the Moon sample from The Island.

Scene 1: the truck (on the left) and the smashed car (on the right)
Transformers 3 samples The Island scene 1

Scene 2: the rolling car and the smoke
Transformers 3 samples The Island scene 2

Personally, I don't mind if Michael Bay samples a few scenes from his own film. Anyway, it's a good way to save time and money on filming a new scene. After all, Transformer: Dark of the Moon is a good film that has received generally negative reviews, which praising the film's excellent 3D visual effects.

Beyonce New Album 4 Tops Billboard 200

Beyonce 4 album cover
Beyonce debuted her highly-anticipated fourth solo album "4" last week on June 28, 2011. According to Nielsen SoundScan, after a week of sales, Queen B's new album easily tops Billboard 200 and UK Album Chart with 310,000 copies sold.

Prior to the album's debut, female empowering single "Run The World (Girls)", which serves as the lead single of the album was officially released on April 21, 2011. After this, the album's second single "Best Thing I Never Had" was released on June 1, 2011. The video below is the music video of Beyonce's Run The World (Girls). (Download it with this Free YouTube Downloader. If you are on Mac, go to get this YouTube Downloader for Mac)

However, according to Billboard magazine:
"4's" sales launch is lowest of her four releases: 2008's "I Am ... Sasha Fierce" entered with 482,000; 2006's "B'Day" bowed with 541,000 and 2003's "Dangerously In Love" started with 317,000.
What's more, both of "Run The World (Girls)" and "Best Thing I Never Had" failed to reach the top 10 of Billboard Hot 100, which was the first time for Beyonce's lead single from her album missed the top 10.

Previously, Beyonce received the Billboard Millennium Award on the Billboard Music Award. She performed "Run The Word (Girl)" during the presentation.
